Rick Adcock

Senior Vice President



Rick Adcock is Senior Vice President and Director of North American Operations at Camco (LON: CAO).  Most recently, he was Senior Vice President for Environmental Markets at World Energy (TSX:XWE), where he led the firm’s business in the domestic and international markets for green power, renewable energy credits, and GHG emissions credits.  From 2000 until early 2007, he was Vice President, Energy & Carbon Asset Management, at CH2M HILL, where he led international teams developing GHG emissions credit-producing projects in Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe.  He co-founded and served seven years (1993-99) as President of Econergy International, an early mover in the carbon emissions management market.  In 1992, he served briefly as a Special Assistant to the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State responsible for international climate change negotiations.  From 1988-91, he managed energy and climate change policy issues as a Legislative Assistant to (then) U.S. Senator Al Gore.  Prior to that, he was an energy & climate change technical and policy analyst with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment, and the World Resources Institute.
Mr. Adcock was a Congressional Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and an Adjunct Research Fellow at Harvard University’s Center for Science & International Affairs.  He holds an M.A.L.D from The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, an M.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Colorado, a B.S. in chemical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, and a B.A. in English from the University of Denver.
