Susan Innis is the Colorado Carbon Fund Program Manager for the State of Colorado’s Governor's Energy Office. The Colorado Carbon Fund provides high quality carbon offsets to consumers as a way to support new energy efficiency and renewable energy projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the state. Prior to joining state government in 2007, Susan spent eight years as an Energy Policy Advisor and Green Power Marketing Director at Western Resource Advocates, a regional conservation law and policy center. She was involved in developing key renewable energy legislation and regulation in the Rocky Mountain region, helped develop best practice for green power purchasing through the Green-e renewable energy certification program, and has served on the boards of several clean energy industry associations. Before working on energy issues, Ms. Innis worked as an Urban Park Ranger in New York City and a researcher with an international marine conservation organization, Project Seahorse. She holds a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver, a certificate in Energy Planning and Sustainable Development from the University of Oslo, and a BSc in Biology from McGill University (Montreal, Canada).
